Austin, Texas -- Nebraska sophomore Shane Komine scattered six hits and struck out five and Justin Cowan added hit a two-run home run in the fifth to lead Nebraska to an upset over No. 6 Texas, 4-0, at Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas.

Komine, who has thrown 18 consecutive scoreless innings, turned in his second straight complete game shutout to improve to 9-3, as Nebraska won its 13th straight Big 12 game and its 19th in 20 tries.

The Huskers, who have won four straight against Texas, jumped on the board in the third inning on a sacrifice fly from Adam Stern to score John Cole, who has missed the last nine games with a groin injury. Cole led off the third with a single up the middle and reached second on a bunt single from Josh Hesse. Adam Shabala sacrificed the two to second and third before Stern hit a deep fly ball to left field, allowing Cole to tag up and score.

Nebraska stranded a pair of runners in the fourth and overcame a base running error in the fifth to add two more runs. Shabala led off the inning with a double but was thrown out at second when Stern hit a ground ball to the shortstop with first base open. But Cowan erased the mistake with his eighth home run of the season to drive a home run off All-America candidate Beau Hale over the left field wall to give Nebraska a 3-0 lead.

Nebraska got a break in the seventh with a one-out single from Adam Stern, but Stern was retired at second on a ground out from Cowan. Dan Johnson delivered a two-out single to left that bounced off the shoulder of left fielder Ben Emond, allowing Stern to score from first and advancing Johnson all the way to third.

Hale was strong down the stretch, retiring the last seven Huskers he faced. Texas attempted to rally in eighth and ninth, but came up emty-handed. Sam Anderson led off the eighth with a single, but the Nebraska defense turned a double play when Chris Carmichael hit a hot grounder to Johnson at first who turned and forced out Anderson at second.
