Houston, Texas -- For the second straight day, a slow start proved costly for the Nebraska baseball team, as the eighth-ranked Huskers fell to No. 15 Wake Forest, 9-8, at the Crowne Plaza/Rice Invitational Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers nearly rallied from a 7-0 deficit, scoring a pair of runs in the eighth and three in the ninth to close to a run. After Wake Forest preseason All-America closer David Bush retired the first two hitters in the ninth, Matt Hopper
