Holmquist Breaks Big 12 Record on Senior Night - Huskers.com - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site

Senior middle blocker Amber Holmquist produced 13 block assists to break the Big 12 Conference record for block assists in a three-game match while leading the No. 5 Nebraska volleyball team to a 30-20, 30-21, 30-19 win over No. 22 Kansas State Saturday night at the NU Coliseum.

 

With the win, Nebraska finished the regular season with a 28-1 overall record and a 20-0 Big 12 mark. The Huskers posted their third-straight undefeated conference season and extended their Big 12 winning streak to 70 matches.

 

The Huskers, winners of four straight Big 12 crowns, will learn of their postseason fate Sunday at 8 p.m. when ESPNEWS airs the NCAA volleyball tournament selection show.
