Before Nebraska
Olivia Burns trained at Xtreme Gymnastics Lees Summit under coach Alisha Robinson. Burns claimed the Missouri state title on beam in 2021 and in the all-around in 2022. She has competed at the National Qualifier in 2022, finishing 11th in the all-around. Burns also earned the regional title on vault and a fourth-place finish in the all-around in 2021.
Personal
The daughter of Brian and Karen Burns, Olivia was born on June 2, 2005. She attended Blue Springs High School and has two siblings, Kyra and Mia. Olivia plans on majoring in sports media and communications.
Olivia chose Nebraska because “it felt like the place I could call my home away from home. I knew the resources offered could set me up to thrive in academics and athletics while also setting me up for success after college. The team and coaches in the gymnastics program were so welcoming, and I knew I could them a second family.”
