2023-24: Senior
Raphaëlle Lacasse picked up after last season with an outstanding performance, earning All-Big Ten honorees. In singles, the Canadian went 12-12, winning four Big Ten matchups. In doubles play, Lacasse went 26-12. In the fall with Isabel Adrover Gallego, the duo went to the ITA All-American tournament and won three-straight matches to make it to the main draw. The pair also made it to the semifinals of ITA Regionals at the University of Kansas. The duo ended the season with a 12-7 record.
In the spring, the senior, with her partner graduate student Maja Pietrowicz, led the Huskers on Court One defeating two ranked doubles pairs. Lacasse and Pietrowicz held a 13-5 record with 11-3 matches on Court One. Lacasse was ranked with both Pietrowicz #66 at the highest and Adrover Gallego with a ranking of #61.
Off the court, Lacasse was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship team, received the bronze academic honor, and was named a Sportsmanship Award Honoree.
2022-23: Junior
In her first year for the Huskers, the Kansas transfer posted a 7-8 overall singles record. She played in two positions, grabbing a 5-2 record at No. 5 and a 2-6 mark at No. 4. Lacasse earned a 18-2 doubles record with partners Samantha Alicea and Ana Carmen Zamburek. With her doubles partner, Alicea, she posted a 16-1 doubles record. On April 18, the duo broke into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) doubles rankings at the No. 89 spot. One week later, on April 25, Alicea and Lacasse moved up to No. 45 in the ITA doubles rankings.
Off the court, Lacasse earned a spot on the 2023 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
Before Nebraska
Lacasse, a native of Montreal, Canada, joins Baylor transfer Ana Carmen Zamburek as commits for the 2022-23 team. A transfer from Kansas, Lacasse spent the last year with the Jayhawks and brings an impressive resume to Nebraska. Last season, she was a constant in the doubles and singles line up and helped the Jayhawks achieve a top 30 national ranking.
In 2021, she had a Top 700 WTA Singles ranking and a Top 800 WTA doubles ranking. She boasted a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 11.45 and was an ITF 15k tournament singles champion in Cancun, Mexico. Lacasse also reached seven ITF 15k doubles finals during her junior career and was a National Canadian doubles champion in the under 18 division.
