2018-19 Junior:

After sitting out the fall with a wrist injury, Lozowski came back in the spring fully healthy and ready to contribute. She played in all 27 matches, participating in the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 spots in the lineup, Lozowski went 8-16 (2-9 Big Ten) on the singles court this year. The junior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., also went 8-13 in doubles play while competing with Marina Cozac (1-2) and Hayley Haakenstad (7-11).

 

2017-18 Sophomore:
Jeannie Lozowski welcomed the 2018 spring season having already recorded 10 wins during fall invitational play. A season dedicated to the singles game was a triumphant one for the sophomore from Port Saint Lucie, Fla., as Lozowski posted a 7-3 singles record during her second season with Nebraska.

 

Lozowski began the spring play with six straight wins on the singles court including victories over Colorado State and Wyoming. Lozowski also defeated Wisconsin's Michelle Linden 6-2, 6-2, helping the Huskers achieve a 4-0 win over the Badgers at the Dillon Tennis Center.

 

Off the court, Lozowski was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. She was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

 

2016-17 Freshman:
Lozowski contributed significantly to the Huskers as a freshman, earning 15 singles wins. She added a Big Ten victory in her inaugural season. She picked up wins out of the No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions for the Huskers. 

 

As a doubles player, Lozowski went 9-4, including five fall victories and four spring wins. The true freshman played with six different teammates throughout the year. 

 

Off the court, Lozowski was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. 

 

Before Nebraska:
Lozowski attended Florida Virtual high school full-time program and attended various tennis academies. She was a member of the honor roll throughout her high school academic career. She primarily trained under Bruce Kurtz and Aldo Burga. Jeannie was a force in junior tennis competition, dominating singles play in Florida. Lozowski was a two-time USTA Level 5 singles champion in 2015 and 2016 and entered Nebraska as a five star recruit. 

Personal:
The daughter of Billy and Kathy Lozowski, Jeannie was born on March 13, 1998, in Amityville, New York. Jeannie plans to complete a major in biochemistry with minors in chemistry and psychology while at Nebraska. She was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All-Big Ten choice in 2018 and 2019. She is a five-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. She was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017, 2018 and 2019. During her summers, Jeannie trains for tennis competition and spends time playing the piano, cooking and singing.
