Amanda Hart completed her eighth season as the director of women's basketball operations at Nebraska in 2023-24, helping the Huskers to their most successful season in a decade.
Hart also spent the 2015-16 season in a similar role with Coach Amy Williams at South Dakota. Hart coordinates all aspects of Nebraska's team travel and scheduling. She also plays a major role in Nebraska's women's basketball summer camps.
In 2023-24, Nebraska earned a first-round NCAA Tournament victory over Texas A&M and made a four-game run to the Big Ten Championship Game - both firsts for the program since 2014. Hart helped the Huskers finish in the top 25 in the NET rankings for the second time in the past three seasons, as the Huskers notched 17 victories over 2024 postseason qualifiers (8 NCAA, 3 WBIT, 6 WNIT). NU's final No. 25 NET ranking in 2024 followed a final No. 23 NET ranking in 2022.
Hart coordinates interactions between the Nebraska women's basketball program and all areas of the department, including Athletic Communications, Marketing, Digital Media and Ticketing to help promote the program across all platforms. With Hart as director of operations, Nebraska has ranked among the top 25 nationally in average home attendance every year, including 15th nationally in 2023-24 with 6,088 - Nebraska's best home attendance since 2013-14. The Huskers also secured the first home sellout for women's basketball at Pinnacle Bank Arena in school history with well over 15,000 on hand for Nebraska's win over No. 2 Iowa (Feb. 11, 2024).
Prior to joining Williams, Hart served as an assistant women's basketball coach and assistant sports information director at Dakota Wesleyan.
During her time at Dakota Wesleyan, Hart assisted with player development, supervised academics, served as recruiting coordinator and created travel itineraries. Her sports information responsibilities included writing press releases, generating online content, game-day statistics and operations, and the creation of media guides.
As a standout women's basketball player at Dakota Wesleyan, Hart finished seventh on the all-time scoring list with 1,406 points. She also set the career three-point record with 391, including a single-season school-record 112 in 2011-12.
A College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree as a student-athlete at Dakota Wesleyan, Hart was a four-time Great Plains Athletic Conference selection. She was also a two-time NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
Hart earned her bachelor's degree as an English and sport management major from Dakota Wesleyan in 2014. She completed her master’s degree in educational policy and administration in December of 2015.
Hart was inducted into the Dakota Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019.
