Sophomore (2023-24)
Kelsey Clairmont capped off a stellar sophomore campaign with another trip to the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga. She posted a 20th-place finish on the platform with a score of 242.70. Clairmont set a career best on the one meter in a dual with Kansas (Nov. 3), posting a zone-qualifying 284.03 en route to a third-place finish. The next weekend against Iowa, Clairmont added a career best on the three meter with another zone-qualifying score (339.20) to finish first. At the Mizzou Invite, Clairmont posted a 250.85 on platform to capture another individual title. She added ninth-place finishes on the one- and three-meter boards at Mizzou.

At the Zone D Diving Championships in Houston, Texas, Clairmont placed eighth with a score of 502.75 in the platform finals to punch her ticket to the NCAA Championships. She accumulated 18 zone-qualifying scores and 15 top-five finishes on the season.

Freshman (2022-23)
A trip to the 2023 NCAA Championships highlighted Clairmont’s freshman season. She placed 34th overall on the platform with a a 214.00 in Knoxville, Tenn. During her opening weekend as a Husker, Clairmont hit NCAA Zone Diving Championship-qualifying standards on the one- and three-meter boards. In the Iowa State dual, Clairmont won the three-meter title with a 314.25 and finished as runner-up in the one meter with a 269.48. The next day, Clairmont took second in the three meter with a 300.85 and third in the one meter with a 277.55 in the double-dual against Minnesota and South Dakota to hit the zone marks again. She went on to hit the qualifying mark 10 times throughout the season. In a dual against the Hawkeyes, Clairmont notched another runner-up finish in the three meter with a 274.85, while finishing fourth in the one meter with a 250.05.

Clairmont returned to Iowa City for the mid-season Hawkeye Invite, where she competed on platform for the first time, scoring a zone-qualifying 283.15 to win the event. She added a third-place finish in the three meter with a 310.60.

At zones, Clairmont finished eighth on platform with a score of 496.00 to earn a spot at nationals.

Before Nebraska
Clairmont was named the top senior diver for Regina Diving Club in 2020 and the top junior diver in 2017. She earned the Sask Top Female Diver honor three times, most recently in 2019. Clairmont was a 16-time Canadian Junior National finalist, earning spots in the finals on platform, one-meter and three-meter diving events for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020. She finished third in the platform at the 2020 Canadian PanAmerican Trials. At the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games, Clairmont picked up another bronze.
    
Personal
The daughter of Wade and Trina Clairmont, Kelsey was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, on July 15, 2004. She has an older sister, Alyssa who was an honorable-mention All-America diver with a 13th-place NCAA finish on the one-meter board for Texas A&M as a senior in 2023. Kelsey is majoring in graphic design and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2024. She is a two-time first-team CSCAA Scholar All-American and a four-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. Kelsey was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2023 and 2024 for her contributions to the Lincoln community. She chose Nebraska because of the athletes and coaches she met on the team during her visit.
