Career Notes
2002-Splitting time between 141 and 149 pounds, Burnett wrestled to an 8-10 record, including 3-6 in duals, during the 2001-02 season for Nebraska. He had four pins and one technical fall.
Before Nebraska-While attending Iowa Central Community College in 2000-01, Burnett finished third at Junior College Nationals at 133 pounds. Burnett was ranked No. 1 nationally heading into the NJCAAchampionships. He wrestled at both 133 and 141 pounds for an Iowa Central squad that finished second nationally. At Elyria Catholic High School in Elyria, Ohio, Burnett racked up 113 consecutive victories in a career that saw him win three state titles and compile a career record of 154-4.
Personal-The son of Ron and Ruth Burnett, Scott was born on Jan. 8, 1980. Scott has one brother, Erik and one sister, Jenny. Scott is a sociology major.
