2010-11 Outlook
Chris Hacker could be Nebraska's 149-pound starter if he can remain healthy for his junior season. The Oklahoma native has been hampered by a hip injury the past two years, but has shown positive signs of success in limited action.

2009-10 (Sophomore)
Regular Season
Hacker opened the year strong by winning the 149-pound championship in the Elite Division at the Kaufman-Brand Open in Omaha. He continued his success at the Journeymen/Brute Northeast Duals by winning three of his four matches, including a pin over Joey Napoli of Lehigh.

After a solid 3-2 showing at the Las Vegas Invitational, highlighted by two more falls, Hacker was unable to pick up another win except for a forfeit victory at South Dakota State. The 149-pounder was bothered by an ongoing hip injury and sat out the rest of the season after the Jan. 3 duals versus North Dakota State and North Carolina State.

Hacker finished the season 12-8 overall with a 4-6 dual mark. He tied for fifth on the team with four major decision wins.

2008-09 (Sophomore)
Regular Season
Hacker went 3-3, including 1-1 in duals at 149 pounds in 2008-09, before a hip injury ended his season.

2007-08 (Redshirt)
Regular Season
Hacker had a 15-5 record in his redshirt season. He opened the year with two pins at the Cowboy Open and went on to finish second at the tournament and the Kaufman-Brand Open, as he started the season with an 8-2 record. Four of his first eight wins were bonus-point conquests, including three pins. Hacker notched the second-fastest pin by a Husker in 2007-08 with his fall of Nick LeClere in 26 seconds.

Hacker notched a 5-2 record to place fourth at the Dana Open on Jan. 5. He was well on his way to another top finish before a minor injury forced him to forfeit his final two matches of the season at the Brand Open on Jan. 19. Hacker finished the season with six pins and one technical fall.

Before Nebraska
A four-time Cadet All-American and two-time Junior All-American, Hacker joined the Huskers with an impressive resume at both the state and national levels. Hacker twice captured the Oklahoma Class 4A championship at 152 pounds, and was the No. 3 152-pounder nationally according to Wrestling USA. He was the No. 53 high school wrestler in the nation, according to Intermat.

Personal
The son of Rick and Carole Hacker, Chris was born on Feb. 2, 1989. He has one sister, Ashley. Chris is a psychology major at Nebraska.
