2015-16: Senior
Herrmann created a final mark of 13-13 in regular-season competition, going 2-8.in the Big Ten. In the fall, Herrmann had a 6-3 record. He competed exclusively at the No. 2 position in the singles lineup. 

Herrmann had a successful season in doubles competition, producing a 13-12 record alongside partners Scott Elsass and Tomislav Antoljak. With Elsass, the duo went 4-6 in Big Ten play and 4-2 in fall competition. 

A three-time academic All-Big Ten selection, Herrmann earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both semesters of 2015-16. A two-time Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner, Herrmann was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2015.

“Marc keeps wanting to improve,” Nebraska Coach Kerry McDermott said. “He pushes his teammates and finds ways to win, even when he’s not playing well. I feel Marc is ready for a great year, and he knows what to expect this year. The experience last year has made him hungry to do some great things this year.”

2014-15: Junior
Playing primarily out of the No. 2 singles position, Herrmann managed a 13-17 overall record that included a 10-12 mark in the spring. He settled for a 3-7 Big Ten mark.

On the doubles court, he split time in all three positions and worked his way to an 11-13 overall record. He went 8-9 during the spring, including 1-7 in the Big Ten.

Herrmann earned academic All-Big Ten honors for the second time, while claiming spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2014-15. He was also a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2013-14: Sophomore
Herrmann enjoyed a strong sophomore season playing at the No. 2 position in both singles and doubles for the Huskers. He posted a 20-17 overall singles record, winning 11 matches in the spring after an impressive 9-3 mark in the fall. Herrmann teamed with Beauregard Treyz and Dusty Boyer in doubles action, finishing 22-15 overall, including a 5-6 Big Ten mark.

An academic All-Big Ten selection for the first time in 2014, Herrmann also earned Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive season.

2012-13: Freshman
Herrmann had a solid freshman season, posting a 17-20 overall singles record, including a 10-12 spring mark. He went 5-6 in Big Ten play.

Herrmann also saw success on the doubles court with a 13-14 overall record, including an 8-10 spring mark. He went 3-2 in Big Ten action.

Herrmann was recognized with the 2013 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for Nebraska. Herrmann earned Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selections in the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013.

Before Nebraska
Herrmann attended Gymnasium at Rotenbuehl and played club tennis for TC Rotenbuehl Saarbruecken. He was ranked as high as No. 117 in Germany.

Personal
The son of Joerg and Sonja Herrmann, Marc was born July 9, 1993, in Dudweiler, Germany. Marc has one younger brother, Eric.

An accounting major, Marc earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2016. He was a three-time academic All-Big Ten selection. A seven-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll, Herrmann was also a two-time winner of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. He added a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2015.
