Sato attended Sakuchosei High School, where she helped the team to three state championships and three Regional Best 4 finishes. On the club side, Sato competed for 1FC Kawagoe Water Park Menina where they were three-time State League Champions, two-time State Tournament Champions and two-time Region Best 16. Individually, she was a team captain in 2018, two-time State Representative (2017, 2018) and 2018 Region Representative.
