Sam Hahn completed his Nebraska career by playing a key role on the Husker offensive line as a senior. The 6-7, 300-pound Hahn started nine games in his senior season at offensive guard, after providing depth at both guard and tackle throughout his career. Hahn also played on role on the Husker kicking units. Hahn was named the Huskers' 2016 Walk-on of the Year. 

A walk-on from DeWitt, Neb., Hahn began his college career at North Dakota State, before transferring to the Huskers. An agronomy major, Hahn earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2016.

2016 (Senior)
Hahn played in all 13 games and made nine starts at offensive guard after Jerald Foster suffered a knee injury in fall camp. Hahn helped Nebraska's offensive line rank among the national leaders in protecting the passer, allowing only 15 sacks on the season. The line paved the way for NU to roll up better than 550 yards against both Wyoming and Northwestern. Hahn was also on NU's punt team as a shield blocker and was on the line on NU's kicking unit. 

2015 (Junior)
Hahn played in three games. He saw action on the line against South Alabama, and played on the Huskers' punt and kicking units against Purdue and Northwestern.

2014 (Sophomore)

Hahn added depth and saw action in Nebraska’s win over Florida Atlantic.

2013 (Redshirt)
Hahn added depth at tackle, but did not see game action.

Before Nebraska (Tri-County HS/North Dakota State)
Hahn enrolled briefly at North Dakota State in 2012, before transferring to Nebraska. Hahn was a four-year starter on the line for Coach John McGary at Tri-County High School, helping the school to four straight state playoff appearances, including a trip to the Class C-2 quarterfinals and a 9-2 record in 2011. Hahn was a first-team Class C-2 all-state selection as a senior after earning an honorable-mention selection as a junior.

Hahn was a two-time all-conference pick in basketball and scored more than 1,000 career points. Hahn helped his team to a 14-9 record as a senior and earned honorable-mention Class C-2 all-state accolades. Hahn also earned four medals at the state track meet, placing in both the shot put and discus his junior and senior seasons. Hahn was an academic all-state selection in football, basketball and track.

Personal
The son of James and Robin Hahn, Sam was born on June 7, 1993. He is an agronomy major and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2016. He was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll six times before earning his bachelor's degree in December of 2016. He has volunteered his time with Uplifting Athletes, the Husker Hotline, Husker Heroes and team hospital visits.
