2019: Kennet Sorenson played in two games in 2019 and went 0-for-2 at the plate • He played against Oregon State (Feb. 23) and Purdue (April 5).

2018: Sorenson saw limited action as a freshman, going 1-for-4 on the season with one RBI • Made one start in three games overall • Recorded his first career hit on April 28 against Nevada • Made his first career start on April 10 as the designated hitter at Kansas State and had one RBI.

Before Nebraska: Sorenson played high school baseball at St. Pius X in Stone Mountain, Ga., under Coach Chad Garrison • In 2017, Sorenson captured honorable-mention Perfect Game All-America accolades after batting .455 with a .516 on-base percentage and .855 slugging percentage • Also earned first-team all-county, first-team all-region, first-team academic all-county and first-team preseason all-state honors in 2017 in addition to a spot on the Dekalb County Gold Glove Team • Named Dekalb County Baseball Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2017 as well as St. Pius X Team MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year • In 2016, he batted .424, slugged .636 with 42 hits and 36 RBIs to help the team to a 25-7 record and the No. 5 final ranking in Georgia • Named a Perfect Game Underclass high honorable-mention All-American • Earned first-team all-county, first-team academic all-county and St. Pius X Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year • Captured 2016 Dekalb County All-Star Classic MVP honors when he set the single-game record for RBIs (5) • In 2015, he batted .420, slugged .580 with 35 hits and 26 RBIs to earn Perfect Game Underclass honorable-mention All-America honors • Helped the team to the 2015 Region 8 title, a 29-4 record, the best in school history, and the No. 4 final ranking in Georgia • Captained the school’s Academic Quiz Bowl team for two years, helping them to back-to-back third-place finishes at state • Compiled numerous academic awards, and was admitted into the University of Nebraska Honors program • Played club baseball for the 643 DP Cougars under Coach Danny Pralgo • The team captured the 17U Super 25 national title in 2016.

Personal: Born on July 28, 1998 in Lincoln, Neb. • Parents are Anne and Daren Sorenson • Has one sister, Kallan • Earned his bachelor's degree as a psychology major at Nebraska in May of 2021 • Enjoys playing guitar and reading screenplays.
