Hit .257 with seven RBIs as the Huskers’ part-time designated hitter and reserve first baseman ? Allowed just three of 16 inherited runners to score on the year and collected saves against Northern Colorado, Baylor and Kansas ? Worked at least an inning in 14 of his 20 bullpen outings, including four appearances of at least two innings ? Did not allow an earned run in his first 10 appearances, spanning 12 innings of work ? Posted a 3.09 ERA in his first 19 appearances before allowing seven earned runs in two short NCAA outings ? Tagged with the loss in a start against Arizona State in the regional title game, allowing four runs in a third of an inning ? Hutchinson Community College/Friend High School: Weber was one of the top junior college players in the country, playing for Coach Kyle Crookes at Hutchinson (Kan.) CC ? Capped his junior college career by earning second-team NJCAA All-America honors in 2006, the first All-American from the school in four seasons ? Split time between first base and the mound, and earned first-team All-Jayhawk West Conference honors at both spots ? Named the Jayhawk West Player of the Year after hitting .453 with six homers and 63 RBIs while going 10-0 with a 2.16 ERA ? Totaled a school-record 27 doubles, two triples and a .724 slugging percentage ? Struck out 66 and walked 20 in 62 innings and held opponents to a .199 batting average ? Fired four complete games, including a three-hit shutout in the regional playoffs when he struck out a career-high 12 hitters ? Batted .380 with nine homers and 45 RBIs, while going 4-3 with a 3.10 ERA as a freshman, helping Hutchinson CC to a Jayhawk West title and an appearance in the NJCAA World Series ? Was a multi-sport athlete at Friend High School, competing in basketball, track, golf and cross country in addition to American Legion baseball ? Earned honorable-mention all-state honors in basketball as a junior and senior, while helping the Friend golf team to a Class C-2 runner-up finish in 2002 ?
