2007: Brown was a staple in the Husker lineup, starting all 55 games he played in • Earned honorable-mention All-Big 12 for his performance on the season, batting .329 with 44 RBIs, ranking him second on the team in both categories • Led the team in multiple offensive categories, including runs scored (47), hits (70), doubles (19), home runs (10), total bases (123) and slugging percentage (.577), and tied for the team-lead in walks drawn with 34 • Had a 15-game hit streak on the season, stretching from March 25 to April 15 • Set a season-high with three RBIs on March 17 against Texas Tech, all three coming on Brown's home run in the eighth inning •  Recorded a career-high four hits against Missouri on March 25, including a solo homerun and a school-record three doubles • Went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and a career-high three runs scored in a 12-10 victory over Creighton on April 3, including the go-ahead RBI in the eighth inning • On April 15, Brown tied his career-high with four hits with two doubles and a home run, while adding two RBIs and tying a career-high with three runs scored • Brown tied his season-high with three RBIs in a victory over Kansas State on April 28 • In a 10-4 victory over Baylor on May 12, Brown paced the Husker attack with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, highlighted by his team-leading ninth homer of the year, as the senior first baseman also tied a career-high with three runs scored.

2006: Brown provided an immediate impact after transferring from Paris (Texas) Junior College • Garnered second-team All-Big 12 honors as a utility player, hitting .298 with nine homers and 30 RBIs in 47 contests • Ranked third on the team with nine homers and fourth with a .532 slugging percentage • Totaled 10 multiple-hit games and was fifth on the squad with eight multiple RBI contests, including a season-best three RBIs against Kansas State on April 2 and Nebraska-Kearney on April 19 • Closed the year as one of NU’s top hitters, hitting .355 with five homers and 13 RBIs in his last 16 contests, including seven multi-hit games • Had two hits, including a triple, in NU’s NCAA Regional opener against Manhattan on June 1 • Went 4-for-18 at the Big 12 Tournament, but drove in four runs, including the game-winners against both Baylor on May 24 and Texas on May 27 • Ranked second among all Huskers with a .351 average in Big 12 play, while hitting five homers and driving in 14 runs in nine games • Enjoyed his best Big 12 series of the year at Baylor, hitting .556 (5-for-9) with two homers in three games • Was 2-for-3 with a two-homer game in NU’s 6-5 loss to BU on May 12 before matching his career high with three hits the following evening • Matched his season high with three hits and drove in two runs against Texas Tech on April 30 • Helped NU to a series win at No. 5 Texas, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two sacrifices in three games • Went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 13-7 win over Missouri on April 9 • Delivered the game’s biggest hit in the series finale at Kansas State on April 2, a three-run double, as NU posted a 12-2 victory • Matched his career high with three hits, including an eighth-inning homer, in NU’s 4-1 win over Creighton in front of 21,158 fans at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha on May 16 • Went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs in a win over Nebraska-Kearney on April 19 • Torched The Citadel in his first start as a Husker, going 3-for-4 with a homer, double, RBI and a walk in an 8-5 loss on Feb. 18.

Paris Junior College/Newman Smith High School: Brown was a two-year standout for Coach Deron Clark at Paris Junior College • Earned first-team NJCAA Region 14 East Honors in 2005, hitting .404 (72-for-178) with 18 homers, 55 RBIs, 20 doubles and 49 runs scored • Hit .333 with 35 RBIs during his freshman campaign at Paris JC • Starred in the Texas Collegiate League in 2005, earning TCL Player-of-the-Year honors for the Denton Outlaws and Coach Derek Matlock • Hit .311 with 13 homers and 39 RBIs in 42 games • Topped all players in homers and RBIs in the wooden bat league, and was the league’s player of the month in July when he hit 12 homers and drove in 31 runs in 26 games • Was also named to the league’s all-star team at first base • Played three seasons on varsity at Newman Smith High School, hitting .398 while belting 11 homers and 15 doubles as a senior • Chose NU over Alabama and Northwestern State.
