Aaron Brandt missed the entire indoor and outdoor seasons due to injury.

  

 

Before Nebraska (Bishop Neumann HS / Creighton)

Brandt joins the Nebraska track and field team after two seasons of basketball at Creighton University... redshirted the 2006-07 season, while seeing action in nine games as a redshirt freshman during 2007-08... averaged 1.3 points per game and 0.8 rebounds per game for the Jays... set the Nebraska all-time state record in the 300-meter hurdles (37.29) at the 2006 state meet... posted a time of 14.02 in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2006 Nebraska state meet to tie for third on the all-time state prep list, setting the Class B state and state meet record while running for Bishop Neumann High School... defeated Husker teammates Eric Lund (second), Adam Dailey (third), Jon Love (fourth) and Seth Burney (sixth) in the 300 hurdles at the 2006 state meet... finished runner-up at the state meet in the 300 and 100 hurdles as a sophomore  (38.58, 14.44) and junior (38.81, 14.46)... coached in high school by Tim Turman... earned 11 letters in high school, including four in basketball and track and field as well as three in football... was part of Class C1 state championship football teams in 2002 and 2003... was a key member of the 2003 Class C 1 state championship basketball team and 2005 runner-up squad...  named the 2006 Fremont Tribune Male Athlete-of-the- Year and a finalist for Omaha World-Herald Male Athlete-of-the-Year... carried a 4.0 GPA in high school.
