2007-08: Senior Season
Kirsten Weiss ended her Husker career as a three-time All-American in smallbore and led the Huskers to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Weiss was named an NRA Second-Team All-American after finishing sixth place in smallbore at the NCAA Championships. She also led the Huskers on the season with a 575.17 smallbore average. She was also named to the CRCA All-Collegiate Second Team for the second time in her career.

Off the range, Weiss excelled in the classroom, capturing spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. She finished her Husker career with eight spots on the league academic honor roll.

2006-07: Junior Season
During the 2006-07 season, Weiss was Nebraska’s top shooter and competed air rifle and smallbore in every tournament, including the NCAA Championships. She earned NRA first-team All-America honors in addition to her NCAA individual runner-up finish (678.4) in smallbore, placing behind Navy's Josh Albright (679.5). Weiss took first-team All-GARC accolades as a smallbore shooter and shattered her previous air rifle record of 583 during NU’s match against Army with a score of 589.

Weiss also earned spots on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

2005-06: Sophomore Season
Weiss held a prominent position on the smallbore roster for the Huskers in 2005-06, earning a career- and meet-high score of 585 in the event against Air Force. At the GARC Championships, Weiss competed in smallbore for Nebraska and tied that mark of 585. Her success earned Weiss a spot on NU’s national smallbore roster where she posted a score of 577.

For her season-long efforts, Weiss was named second-team All-GARC in smallbore and added second-team NRA All-America honors in the event following the NCAA Championships.

2004-05: Freshman Season
A member of an impressive class of freshmen, Weiss became a regular for the Huskers in the smallbore event during her collegiate debut. Weiss shot a season best of 584 against Air Force and averaged 577 for the year. During her departures to air rifle, Weiss amassed an average score of 578 with a season-high score of 583, which she shot against UMKC.

Weiss capped a successful first season with a trip to the NCAA Championships where she competed in smallbore during Nebraska’s third-place team campaign.

Before Nebraska
Weiss competed as a junior shooter for Coach Erin Gestl at Palmyra Sportsmen. She took second place in the Junior Sharpshooter competition at Camp Perry, Ohio, in 2003, falling just one point short of championship wares. Weiss took first place at National Guard competitions in Pennsylvania and Arkansas in 2004, and won an individual gold medal in the outdoor three-position smallbore at the 2004 International Junior match in Bisley, England. Her team also claimed a gold medal in smallbore and a bronze medal in air rifle in the same match.

Personal
Kirsten was born on Feb. 8, 1986 and was a 2004 graduate of New Covenant High School, Weiss was a member of the Superior Honor Roll and was a two-time Student of the Month. She is an international studies major at Nebraska and maintains a 3.7 grade-point average.
