Neale to Play in All-America Games

Nebraska incoming freshman Alanna Neale will compete in a pair of high school All-America games over the next two weekends.

Neale, a 5-10 guard out of national power Ontario Christian High School in California, will compete as a member of Team Future against Team Elite in the BallisLife All-American Game Saturday, May 3, in Long Beach, Calif. 

Neale averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.2 steals over 32 games as a senior for Ontario Christrian. The Lady Knights were ranked No. 1 nationally for much of the season, finishing 30-2 overall. Neale, who earned All-California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section honors, is the first player from the Los Angeles area to sign with the Huskers since Tear'a Laudermill in 2011.

The girls version of this year's event features 18 NCAA Division I recruits on two, nine-player rosters, including a trio of Tennessee recruits, two LSU recruits and two Miami signees, along with newcomers to Michigan, Washington, Penn State, Kansas, North Carolina, North Carolina State, California, Georgia, Cincinnati and Rice.

Neale will also represent Nebraska at the Sixth Annual Ball Dawgs National Girls All-Star Game, Saturday, May 10 in Las Vegas. Neale will compete among 22 players from 10 states in Las Vegas, including NCAA Division I incoming freshmen to South Carolina, LSU, North Carolina State, Georgia, California, BYU, Penn State, San Diego, Fresno State, UCF, Bradley, Grand Canyon and Tarleton State.
