2021 (Senior) 
Megan Verceles Carr made an impact on the Huskers in the classroom and in the community. Verceles Carr was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors as a senior. She claimed a Nebraska Silver Academic Medallion and spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both semesters. Verceles Carr was also honored with the Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award and a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her leadership and commitment to serving the Lincoln community. 

2020 (Junior)
Verceles Carr was a standout three-event competitor for the Huskers throughout her junior season in 2020. She competed on vault, bars and beam in eight of Nebraska’s nine meets during the season, missing only the vault competition in NU’s dual victory at Michigan State (Jan. 26). Against the Spartans, Verceles Carr erupted for a career-high 9.950 on beam to win the event title and added a career best with a 9.875 on bars. She capped the year with a career-high 9.925 on vault to share the event title against Missouri in the Masters Classic (March 7). For the season, Verceles Carr scored a 9.700 or better on 27 of her 28 routines across her events. The college gymnastics season ended prematurely in mid-March because of the worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus. In the classroom, Verceles Carr captured WCGA Scholastic All-America honors and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection. She also claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters, and she was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the third time.

2019 (Sophomore)
Verceles Carr saw a significant increase in competition time during her sophomore season and became a consistent competitor in the vault and uneven bars lineup. She established a new career high on vault with a 9.85 on four occasions, including the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional (April 5). She added then-career bests with a 9.90 on bars against Illinois (Jan. 26) and Minnesota (Feb. 9). Verceles Carr also performed on beam early in the season, notching a then-career high 9.675 in the season opener at UCLA (Jan. 4). Outside the gym, she claimed Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. She also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for the second time in her career.

2018 (Freshman)
Verceles Carr contributed in five meets as a true freshman while adding depth on vault.  She scored a season-high 9.825 on vault at Oklahoma (Feb. 16). She also scored 9.750 on vault at the Masters Classic (March 4). She joined the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2018.

Before Nebraska     
Verceles Carr trained at West Valley Gymnastics School in Campbell, Calif., under coaches Paul Duron and Judy Sun. A Level 10 gymnast, Verceles Carr was a four-time J.O National qualifier. At the 2017 J.O. National Championships, she tied for third on beam, while finishing eighth in the all-around. Verceles Carr won the Region 1 beam title in both 2015 and 2017, and she won all-around and bars titles at the Northern California State Championships, before adding a title on vault in 2014. She graduated from Los Gatos High School in 2017.

Personal
The daughter of Marisa Verceles and Carl Carr, Megan was born on July 5, 1999. She has an older brother, Wesley. An advertising and public relations at Nebraska, Megan earned her bachelor's degree in May of 2021. She captured WCGA Scholastic All-America honors in 2020 and 2021 and was a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2021. She also earned Academic All-Big Ten accolades in 2020 and 2021. She is a six-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. A four-time selection to the Tom Osborne Citizenship and was Nebraska’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for women’s gymnastics in 2019.
