2021 (Freshman) 
Danielle Press made her Husker debut during the 2021 season competing regularly on vault and floor. Press earned a season-high score on vault at Michigan notching a 9.875. Press also earned a season-high score on floor at Minnesota with a score of 9.875. In the classroom, Press earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2021. 

Before Nebraska
Press was a Level 10 gymnast who trained at World Championship Centre in Spring, Texas, under coaches Cecile Jandi, Laurent Landi, Mei Liu and Jeremy Veit. After suffering a UCL tear, Press underwent reconstructive surgery in 2018 and returned to the gym for some of the most impressive performances of her career. Press finished second on vault and fourth in the all-around at the 2020 Biles International Invitational. She added a sixth-place finish on floor, seventh on bars and eighth on the beam at the event. Press added top-eight finishes at the 2019 Biles International Invitational, including third on vault, fifth on floor, sixth in the all-around and seventh on bars.

Personal
The daughter of Sarah Press, Danielle was born Feb. 7, 2001, in Conroe, Texas. She has an older sister, Shaina. Danielle is majoring in forensic science and earned recognition on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2021.

"Danielle brings power to this class," Nebraska Coach Heather Brink said. "She has the ability to perform a high level of skills and provide depth in our floor lineup."
