2021-22: Senior
Patrick Cacciatore saw action in eight singles matches and 19 doubles matches this season, posting a 5-3 overall record in singles and a 9-10 record in doubles. In the spring, Cacciatore tallied a singles win against Creighton’s Ethan Neil 6-1, 6-2.

Cacciatore also had success off the court. He earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the Fall of 2021 and was a member of the 2022 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2020-21: Junior
Cacciatore won five singles matches and three doubles matches during his junior season. Cacciatore's year was highlighted by his win over Charl Morgan of Penn State on April 29 in Lincoln at the Big Ten Tennis Tournament (6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (9)). In the spring season, Cacciatore won his matches out of the No. 6 spot in the singles lineup and at No. 2 and No. 3 in doubles.

Off the court, Cacciatore earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. He also claimed a prestigious Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award.

2019-20: Sophomore (Year of Eligibility Restored Due to COVID-19 Pandemic)
After transferring from South Carolina, Cacciatore had his Husker debut season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic. The five-star high school recruit from Tampa, Fla., won 10 singles matches and seven doubles competitions. He ranked second on the team in overall wins (17) and doubles victories (7) and was third in singles wins (10). Cacciatore posted a 10-13 overall mark in singles play and a 7-15 record in doubles action. During the fall, Cacciatore went 6-5 in singles matches and was 6-4 in doubles competition alongside freshman Albert Sprlak-Puk. In the spring, Cacciatore found his winning ways out of the No. 6 spot, earning three victories in his last five matches for a 4-8 spring mark. Although Cacciatore had his most success out of the No. 6 spot, he competed at every spot in the lineup except No. 1, including posting a victory in his lone match in No. 2 singles. Cacciatore won his lone Big Ten singles match of the season, defeating Iowa's Jason Kerst (4-6, 6-3, 10-7).

In the classroom, Cacciatore earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters.

Before Nebraska
Cacciatore finished his only season at South Carolina with a 14-6 overall record and a 4-3 dual mark. He went 0-1 in Southeastern Conference play for the Gamecocks. He was 0-1 at No. 4 singles, 2-1 at No. 5 singles and 2-1 at No. 6 singles while competing in the South Carolina dual lineup. He added a 6-6 overall doubles record on the season, going 3-2 with Thomas Brown including 2-0 in dual action. He added a 3-3 record with Beau Pelletier, which all came in tournament play, while going 0-1 with Jake Beasley in his only other doubles action in dual play. Cacciatore helped South Carolina to an 18-10 overall record that included a 5-7 SEC mark. The Gamecocks advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and finished No. 19 in the ITA team rankings. His USC teammate, Paul Jubb, won the NCAA singles title.

Cacciatore a five-star, top-50 national recruit before graduating from Laurel Springs School, was the 2017 USTA National Level 3 champion after capturing the 2016 Mobile Level 3 individual title. He was ranked as the No. 7 player in the state of Florida.

Personal
The son of Larry and Tiffany Cacciatore, Patrick was born on Dec. 29, 1999. He is the younger brother of Zach Cacciatore. A management major, Patrick earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2022. He was a 2022 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. He is a six-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. He earned a prestigious Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award in 2021, and was a two-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. Cacciatore previously attended the University of South Carolina, where he made the SEC Honor Roll.
