2022 (Senior)
Trent Hixson started every game at center in 2022. He was the only Husker offensive lineman to start all 12 games at the same position.

2021 (Junior)
Hixson played in five games in 2021 with two starts at left guard at No. 3 Oklahoma and at No. 20 Michigan State. He also appeared on the line against Fordham, Buffalo and Northwestern.

2020 (Covid Season)
 Hixson played in three games as a junior, appearing against Ohio State, Minnesota and Rutgers. He played extensively in the season-ending win at Rutgers, when Nebraska totaled 620 yards of offense.

2019 (Sophomore)
A former walk-on, Hixson was placed on scholarship for his sophomore season. He started every game at left guard and was a key part of an offensive line that helped Nebraska rank third in the Big Ten in rushing offense and fifth in total offense.

Hixson played a major role in Nebraska producing its most total yards in a Big Ten Conference game (690 yards at Illinois), while tying its most points in a Big Ten game (54 at Maryland). Against Illinois, the Huskers totaled 300 yards rushing and 300 yards passing for just the second time in school history en route to gaining the most yards in any conference game since 2007. Nebraska also set a school record for team completion percentage against Indiana (87.0 percent).

2018 (Redshirt Freshman)
Hixson played in four games as a redshirt freshman while continuing to develop into a future starter. He made his Husker debut with an appearance on the offensive line at No. 19 Michigan, helping the Huskers score on an 80-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. Hixson also saw action on the line at No. 16 Wisconsin and in the Huskers’ home wins over Bethune-Cookman and Illinois. Hixson was also a member of Nebraska’s travel roster for each of the Huskers’ five road games.

2017 (Redshirt)
Hixson redshirted in his first season. He was a standout in practice on the offensive line.

Before Nebraska (Skutt Catholic HS)
Hixson played in 13 games as a senior at Skutt Catholic, helping his team to a 10-3 record and a Class B state runner-up finish. He recorded 96 total tackles, including 10 for a loss, three sacks and a fumble recovery for Coach Matt Turman.

Hixson was named second-team Super State and first-team All-Class B by the Lincoln Journal Star in 2016. He was also an Omaha World-Herald first-team All-Class B performer as both a junior and senior. He was also a Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald All-Class B defensive lineman as a junior in 2015.

Hixson racked up 67 tackles and four tackles for loss during his junior season and had 57 tackles and three TFLs on a state championship team as a sophomore in 2014. Hixson finished with 214 career tackles, the second-most in Skutt history. Hixson played in two games as a sophomore on the offensive line, and he also recorded four total tackles on defense. Hixson was also on the wrestling team in high school and finished fifth in Class B at 285 pounds in 2016.

Personal
Trent is the son of Rick and Micki Hixson, and he was born on April 10, 1999. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in May of 2021. Hixson has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race, Husker Heroes, Operation Christmas Child, Women’s History Month, a Register to Vote campaign and local hospital visits.
