2023 (Redshirt Freshman)
Janiran Bonner made an offseason switch from tight end to fullback and saw action in the backfield in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman with three starts. Bonner finished with four carries for nine yards and one touchdown, and he also had a five-yard reception.

Bonner had the first two carries of his career against Michigan, gaining five yards. He had his first career reception with a five-yard catch at Illinois. Bonner started against Purdue and had a two-yard carry. He scored his first career touchdown with a two-yard run on a third-and-goal play against Maryland.

2022 (Redshirt)
Janiran Bonner did not play in a game in 2022. Although he redshirted, Bonner made the travel roster for every road trip.

Before Nebraska (Cedar Grove HS)
Bonner was a standout wide receiver for Cedar Grove High School. He helped the Saints win three Georgia Class 3A state championships.

Bonner had 50 catches for 816 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior while helping Cedar Grove to a 12-3 record. He had eight catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the state championship game, including an 80-yard touchdown reception. Bonner was recognized as an all-state performer as a senior.

A consensus four-star recruit, Bonner was ranked among the top 50 wide receivers in the country by both Rivals and 247Sports. He chose Nebraska after originally committing to Georgia Tech.

Personal
Janiran was born on Nov. 6, 2003, and he is the son of Rasheenea Young. He is majoring in business administration. Bonner has volunteered his time with Day of Service, the Nebraska Football Road Race and local hospital visits.
