2021
Connor Culp started eight games at place-kicker in his final season. He connected on a 27-yard field goal in his only attempt at Illinois. Culp added a 39-yard field goal against Fordham, and he scored 10 points against the Rams. At No. 3 Oklahoma, Culp connected on a career-long 51-yard field goal, the first 50-yard field goal of his career. Culp made n both of his field goal attempts at No. 20 Michigan State. He set a career high with eight extra points against Northwestern and made all three of PATs against No. 9 Michigan. Culp hit his second 50-yard field goal of the season at Minnesota when he connected on a 50-yard attempt. Culp is the first Husker to have multiple 50-yard field goals in a season since Brett Maher in 2012.

2020 (Senior)
Culp had an impressive debut season as Nebraska’s starting place-kicker in 2020. The graduate transfer was named the Big Ten Kicker of the Year in addition to being a first-team all-conference selection. Culp was 13-of-15 on field goals and made all 20 of his extra-point attempts. Culp led Nebraska with 59 points and he also had 12 touchbacks on his 40 kickoffs. Culp ranked second in the Big Ten and 15th nationally in field goals per game (1.6) and second in the conference and 13th nationally in field goal percentage (86.7). 

In the opener at No. 5 Ohio State, he connected on both of his extra-point tries and made a 22-yard field goal. He also kicked off four times with one touchback, and Ohio State managed only 14 yards on two kickoff returns. At Northwestern, Culp was 2-of-3 on field goals, including a season-long 38-yarder. He also had two touchbacks on four kickoffs. 

Culp made all three of his field goals and both of his extra-point tries in the win over Penn State. He added two touchbacks on his six kickoffs, while the four Penn State returns averaged only 12.8 yards. Culp hit a 30-yard field goal against Illinois and had one touchback on four kickoffs. He made a pair of field goals at Iowa, including a season-long 39-yarder. 

At Purdue, Culp was perfect on three field goal attempts, including a 49-yarder that was the longest field goal by a Husker since 2016. Culp also had three touchbacks on eight kickoffs against the Boilermakers. Culp hit 1-of-2 field goals and had three touchbacks on four kickoffs against Minnesota. Culp tied his then-career high for the second time in three games with four extra points in Nebraska’s season-ending win at Rutgers.

Before Nebraska (Desert Vista HS/LSU)
Culp came to Nebraska as a graduate transfer after spending his first four seasons at LSU. Culp started 10 games as the Tigers’ place-kicker as a redshirt freshman in 2017, and he was a member of LSU’s 2019 national championship team. After redshirting in 2016, Culp started 10 games in 2017 and connected on 11-of-16 field goals, including eight consecutive makes at one point. He made four field goals against Ole Miss, tied for the second-most field goals in a game in LSU history. Culp also had three touchbacks in his 10 kickoffs as a redshirt freshman. Culp came to LSU as one of the top 10 kicker recruits in the country. A U.S. Army All-American, Culp made 12-of-15 field goals with a long of 51 yards and recorded 63 touchbacks on his 67 kickoffs as a senior.

Personal
Connor is the son of John and Karen Culp, and he was born on Aug. 8, 1997. Culp earned his bachelor's degree in general business from LSU and is studying business at Nebraska.
