2021
Casey Rogers was injured during fall camp and the injury kept him out of the first five games of the season. He returned to play in the final seven games, totaling 17 tackles with 3.0 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks. Rogers made his season debut in the win over Northwestern, finishing with two tackles, including a half tackle for loss. At Minnesota, Rogers had a half tackle for loss. He made three tackles with a half tackle for loss against Purdue. Rogers totaled two tackles and another half TFL against No. 6 Ohio State, his third consecutive game with a tackle for loss. He made four solo tackles at No. 19 Wisconsin. In the finale against No. 17 Iowa, Rogers made five tackles - tying his career high - including 1.0 tackle for loss and a half sack.

2020 (Sophomore)
Rogers played in every game as a sophomore with one start. He finished with 24 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack. Rogers saw extensive playing time in the season opener at No. 5 Ohio State, recording the first four tackles of his career. Rogers nearly had his first career sack against the Buckeyes, as he wrapped up Justin Fields in the backfield but the play was marked as no gain after Fields landed on a teammate and lunged forward to the original line of scrimmage.

Rogers made his first career start at Northwestern, finishing with one tackle. He made three tackles in the win over Penn State. Against Illinois, Rogers had a career-high five tackles, including a half tackle for loss for his first career TFL. Rogers then added his first career sack the next week at Iowa as part of a career-high-tying five-tackle performance. Rogers had a nine-yard tackle for loss that sealed Nebraska’s win at Purdue. He made four tackles against Minnesota, including a half tackle for loss. Rogers totaled two tackles in Nebraska’s season-ending win at Rutgers.

2019 (Redshirt Freshman)
Rogers played in four games as a redshirt freshman, gaining valuable experience on a senior-laden defensive line. He made his Husker debut at defensive end against Northern Illinois, and he also saw action against Northwestern, No. 15 Wisconsin and Maryland.

2018 (Redshirt)
Rogers redshirted in his first season at Nebraska in 2018, as he missed most of the season with an injury.

Before Nebraska (Westhill HS/Avon Old Farms)
A talented multi-sport athlete, Rogers joined Nebraska after spending the 2017 season at a prep school after initially planning to play college lacrosse.

Rogers was a standout lacrosse and football player at Westhill High School in Syracuse, N.Y. He committed to play lacrosse at Syracuse, where his father Lelan was an assistant coach. Rogers had a change of heart and decided instead to pursue football at the collegiate level. He turned down scholarship offers from Western Michigan and West Virginia and opted to spend one year at Old Farms prep school in Avon, Conn., to increase his football exposure.

The decision paid off, as Rogers helped Avon Old Farms to an 8-1 record in 2017 and a berth in the New England Class A state championship game. Following his season, Rogers received scholarship offers from numerous Power Five programs including Cal, Indiana, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt, among others. He visited Alabama and Ohio State in December before committing to Nebraska. Rogers was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals, ESPN and 247Sports. ESPN listed him among the nation’s top 90 defensive ends.

Rogers was a four-year member of the football team at Westhill High School in Syracuse before his one year at Old Farms. Rogers was also named a high school All-American in lacrosse after scoring 62 goals and compiling 79 points as a senior.
