2020 (Redshirt Freshman)
Caden McCormack provided depth at inside linebacker but did not appear in a game as a redshirt freshman.

2019 (Redshirt)
McCormack redshirted in his first season at Nebraska after joining the Huskers as a walk-on.

Before Nebraska (Lincoln Southwest HS)
McCormack joined the Nebraska program as a walk-on. McCormack was among the state’s leading tacklers in 2018, racking up 149 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and four sacks. He added an interception, fumble caused and fumble recovery on defense, while also rushing 72 times for 456 yards and four touchdowns. McCormack was a member of the Lincoln Journal Star’s Super-State team and earned honorable-mention all-state accolades from the Omaha World-Herald. As a junior, McCormack earned honorable-mention all-state recognition. On defense, he had 43 tackles and a tackle for loss, rushed for 231 yards and three scores and posted more than 400 all-purpose yards. McCormack made 69 tackles, including three tackles for loss, during his sophomore season. He chose Nebraska over a scholarship offer from South Dakota State. 

Personal
Caden is the son of Chris and Shelley McCormack, and he was born on Nov. 29, 2000. He has not declared a major. Caden has volunteered his time with a Day of Service, Husker Heroes, the Nebraska Football Road Race and local hospital visits.
