Before Nebraska (Millard North HS)
Closman played both safety and wide receiver for Millard North High School. He saw action in 18 games for the Mustangs over his junior and senior seasons. Closman finished his career with 108 total tackles, which included 63 solo tackles, according to MaxPreps. He averaged 6.0 tackles per game and also recorded 8.0 tackles for loss, all during his senior season. Closman added nine career interceptions and four pass deflections. On offense, he had nine career receptions for 158 yards with two touchdowns. Closman helped the Mustangs to back-to-back Class A state tournament appearances in 2019 and 2020. Millard North lost in the first round in 2019 before advancing to the second round in 2020. Closman was recognized as a second-team Super-State pick by the Lincoln Journal Star as a senior.

Personal
Blake was born on Feb. 21, 2003, and he is the son of Jeff and Jackie Closman. Blake is majoring in nutrition and health sciences. Closman has volunteered with the Nebraska Football Road Race, local Thanksgiving hospital visits and Nebraska’s Day of Service.
