2019: Keegan Watson played in 24 games, including 17 starts (14 as the designated hitter) • Hit .164 (10-for-61) with three home runs, one double, 11 runs scored and 12 RBIs • During the Air Force series, he blasted one home run in both games, while driving in four runs • Had a hit in each of the first two games against Michigan State to extend his season-long hitting streak to four games • Went 2-for-5 with two runs scored against Purdue on April 5 • Smacked a home run at Penn State on April 12 • Doubled as part of a 1-for-3 day at Iowa on April 20.

2018: Watson started three games and played in five games as a position player, while making six appearances as a relief pitcher • In the season finale on May 19, he blasted his first career home run and tallied three RBIs and one run scored as part of a 1-for-4 day at Illinois • Threw 1.2 no-hit scoreless innings at Oral Roberts on March 20 • Walked in his first career at-bat on March 10 in the first game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly • Allowed one run on three hits in 1.2 innings of relief against Cal Poly on March 8 • Made his Husker debut on Feb. 22 when he threw 1.0 inning of relief against No. 2 Oregon State, striking out one Beaver.

Before Nebraska: Watson hails from Fountaintown, Ind., where he played high school baseball under Coach Shawn Lyons • Helped guide the team to sectional titles in 2014 and 2015, while winning a regional crown in 2014 • As a senior in 2017, batted .333 with 25 hits, 24 RBIs, seven doubles, two triples and six home runs • On the mound in 2017, went 6-1 with a 1.40 ERA and 73 strikeouts • Earned Perfect Game high honorable-mention Preseason All-America honors in 2017, while achieving second-team Central Region All-Senior, all-county, all-conference, honorable-mention all-state and All-USA Indy-Area Super Team status • In 2016, hit .402 with 33 hits, 29 RBIs and nine home runs • Went 3-3 with a 3.23 ERA and 64 strikeouts on the mound in 2016 • Named County Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016 • Captured all-county, all-conference, first-team all-state, All-USA Super Team Central Indiana and Perfect Game Underclass high honorable-mention honors • In 2015, batted .449 with 48 hits, 30 RBIs, 13 doubles, three triples and two home runs • Went 2-2 on the mound with a 6.60 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 2015 • Made the all-county, all-conference and first-team all-state teams in 2015 • Named a MaxPreps All-American and Perfect Game Underclass honorable-mention All-American in 2015 • Made the all-county team in 2014 after batting .491 with 27 hits, 19 RBIs, seven doubles, two triples and three home runs • Tossed a no-hitter against New Castle to win the 2016 Hoosier Heritage Conference title • Launched a game-winning home run in the sixth inning of the 2015 sectional championship to defeat Chatard • Earned one letter in basketball • Played club baseball for the Indiana Bulls Black under Coach Sean Laird.
