Husker Sport Psychology

Our Mission is to  provide science-driven psychological interventions in an interdisciplinary setting promoting health and performance of Husker student-athletes. We embrace the diversity of the student-athlete community and are committed to supporting their many identities. We aim to help our student-athletes live, work, and compete to the best of their abilities.

 INTEGRITY — TRUST — RESPECT — TEAMWORK — LOYALTY

We are at a critical juncture in the culture of elite sport. The pendulum is swinging in the direction of brain and behavior departments being as critical to the success of athletic programs as strength and conditioning, nutrition, and medicine.

Currently, we are providing as comprehensive of care as any department in the country. We have one of the lowest ratios of student-athletes and teams to provider with a diverse staff and unique expertise. Our department focuses on a multi-tiered approach targeting first the primary healthcare needs of the student-athletes (mental health), followed by individual mental skill building and team mental toughness training.
