Martin and Callan Receive All-Rookie Honors

All-Rookie Team

Nebraska Bowling’s rising sophomores Jillian Martin and Anna Callan received 2023 NTCA All-Rookie Honors for their performance during the 2022-23 season. Martin, the 2023 Rookie of the Year, was named to the first team, while Callan earned second-team honors.

To qualify, bowlers must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team’s frames during the 2023 season. Martin enjoyed one of the most successful freshman seasons in Nebraska bowling history. In her first year, Martin was named First-Team NTCA All-American and was also awarded Nebraska’s Female Newcomer of the Year award.

Callan competed in eight of the nine regular-season tournaments as well as the NCAA Pittsburgh Regional and Championships. Callan averaged 202.2 on the season and had two Top-10 tournament finishes.
