Huskers Head to Florida for Five Matches

After a 2-0 start to the beach volleyball season last week, the Huskers will head to Jacksonville, Florida this weekend for the North Florida Invitational at Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex.

The Huskers will play three matches on Friday and two on Saturday before returning home. On Friday at 9 a.m. (CT), Nebraska will begin play against No. 17 Florida International. The Huskers will follow with matches against Coastal Carolina at 1 p.m. and North Florida at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Huskers play Jacksonville at 7 a.m. and Mercer at 11 a.m. Live stats are available here

Upon returning home, the Huskers will have a quick turnaround before their next matches. Nebraska will play Oklahoma Wesleyan at Noon on Monday at the Hawks Championship Center. NU will then host Ottawa (Kan.) on Tuesday at Noon in the final home match of the spring. 

Nebraska beat Wayne State (5-0) and Park (4-1) last week at the Hawks Championship Center. Bekka Allick/Lexi Rodriguez, Keonilei Akana/Ally Batenhorst, Nicklin Hames/Lindsay Krause and Whitney Lauenstein/Kennedi Orr all went 2-0 as pairs. Kenzie Knuckles and Madi Kubik played in one match and won 21-5, 21-18.
