Former Husker Shannon Pluhowsky took home third place on at the 2019 QubicaAMF Professional Women's Bowling Association Players Championship at Buffalo Lanes North in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pluhowsky began Saturday's matchplay as the number two seed in the stepladder finals but fell to Shannon O'Keefe 191-231 to win the semifinal match to claim third place.
Pluhowsky, who competed for NU from 2001-05, was a three-time All American and led the Huskers to three national championships.
Several other former Huskers also bowled at the Players Championships including Liz Kuhlkin placed eighth, Valerie (Calberry) Bercier, who recently won PWBA Rookie of the Year, placed 21st, and Lindsay Boomershine got 25th. Gazmine Mason got 34th.
