Coffey Secures Ticket to Omaha and Breaks School Record

Jenks, Okla.----- Friday night, Autumn Haebig rallied in a runner-up finish in the 400-meter free (4:21.12) followed by Audrey Coffey for third (4:21.96). Rachel Powers raced to a top-eight finish with a time of 4:27.46 to earn her seventh place.

Madison Coughlen captured a second-place showing in the 200-meter fly (2:17.56). Haebig then earned a fifth-place finish (29.82) in the 50-meter back.The Huskers ended day two with an 800-meter free A relay victory (8:23.64) with the B relay coming in fourth place (8:40.75).

Haebig kicked Saturday off with a first-place victory (1:03.23) in the 100-meter back. Tori Beeler (2:19.15) and Allison Kopas (2:21.75) captured third and sixth, respectively, in the 200-meter IM.

Sophomore Coffey claimed her ticket to Omaha for the Olympic Trials as she raced to victory in the 1,500-meter free. Coffey's 16:48.76 time broke the current school record. Junior Rachel Powers followed for a runner-up finish (17:10.29).
