Huskers Seek Top 10 Heading Into Final Day

University Place, Wash. – The Nebraska men’s golf team shot 311 and 330 in the first two rounds of the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational presented by OGIO at Chambers Bay on Monday.

The Huskers are in a four-way tie for 11th at 641 heading into Tuesday’s final round. Washington leads the team race at 606, while Oregon State (616) and TCU (623) round out the top three.

Justin Jennings paced NU’s effort on Monday with a 157 total. Jennings carded 76 in the opening round before shooting 81 in the second round. He is tied for 28th individually after 36 holes.

Michael Colgate is tied for 32nd at 158. Colgate fired 76 and 82 at Chambers Bay on Monday.

Jackson Wendling (162), Jace Guthmiller (164) and Sean Song (171) also competed as part of the Husker lineup on Monday. Wendling is tied for 51st, Guthmiller is tied for 64th and Song is tied for 87th. Dylan McCabe, playing as an individual outside of the lineup, shot 179 over two rounds and sits in a tie for 90th.
