On the impression he got from fans today
“(They’re) definitely expecting great things from me and the D-Line this year. After last year, we set the bar pretty high. We’re expecting to do great things.”

On the defensive line being a strong part of the defense
“I think we’re definitely great. We have experience and talent. We’re going to be the strong part of the defense. That is great, so the defensive backs and linebackers can feed off of us.”

On the strong points of the defensive line
“The experience and knowledge of the game we have. Last year was a great building block. We definitely stepped up to the plate in a lot of games.”

On what he is trying to do this year and how he’s improved in the offseason
“This year I am trying to be a leader; lead by example and show the young guys how it’s done. I tried to drop some fat weight (in the offseason). I’m a little slimmer, a lot faster and a lot stronger this year."
