Huskers Land 24 on Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll

The Husker soccer team boasted 24 players among 270 <?xml:namespace prefix="ns0" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?><?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska student-athletes named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2006 semester.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

 

Former Husker soccer player Brigid Kenny, who is now the team’s student manager, was among 33 Huskers to post a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Seventeen soccer student-athletes earned repeat selections, led by Katie Bunkers who was honored for the eighth time in her career. Vern Fitzgerald was honored for the sixth time in her career, while Meghan Hungerford, Sari Raber and Kenny each made their fifth appearance on the honor roll.

 

A total of six freshmen made the list for the first time in their collegiate careers. A complete list of soccer selections is provided below.

 

To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
