Thirteen Huskers See Action in Sweep of Oklahoma

Norman, Okla.. -- Nancy Metcalf tallied 12 kills to lead the No. 2 Nebraska volleyball team to a 30-17, 30-21, 30-15, victory over Oklahoma Wednesday night at the Howard McCasland Field House. Metcalf recorded just two errors in 20 attacks for a .500 hitting percentage, as the Huskers improved to 23-1 overall and 16-0 in the Big 12. With the win, Nebraska extended its winning streak to 21 matches, and the Huskers have won 46 consecutive Big 12 matches.
Nebraska Coach John Cook took the opportunity to clear the bench, as every available Husker saw significant action. Freshman outside hitter Ally Rebholz notched a season-best four kills on a .300 hitting percentage, and sophomore outside hitter Amy Sibbernsen produced a season-high three service aces.
Laura Pilakowski had eight kills and tallied a career-best four service aces, and Lindsay Wischmeier added two, as the Huskers tallied a season-high 11 service aces.
