Women's Relay Team Sets Meet Record, Chandler Wins 200
Atlanta - Competing against some of the top athletes in the nation at the USA Track and Field Indoor Nationals in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday, several Nebraska athletes walked away with event titles. The Nebraska women's 4x400 relay team of senior Stella Klassen, junior Lesley Owusu, sophomore Cheryl Harmon and sophomore Jelena Stanisavljevic set a meet record finishing in 3:35.49, breaking the old mark of 3:36.37 set by Louisiana State four years ago.
Also claiming an event title was junior Chris Chandler, the only collegian to make the final of the 200-meter dash. Chandler, who hails from Starke, Fla., captured his fourth 200-meter crown of the season, finishing in 20.84. He finished second in his heat (21.13) Friday to qualify for the final.
In the women's high jump, senior Carrie Braness tied with four others for seventh with a jump of 5-9
