Two NCAA Provisional Marks Set at Drake Relays

Des Moines - The Nebraska track and field team sent several athletes to the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, over the weekend. The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Jelena Stanisavljevic, Cheryl Harmon, Lesley Owusu and Stella Kalssen finished first in their heat, qualifying for Saturday's finals. The team ran the fastest time of the day (3:37.49) and achieved their third NCAA provisional qualifying mark this season.

Freshman Emily Waibel won her heat in the 100-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisionally qualifying time of 13.64. It marks the fifth week in a row that Waibel has earned a provisional mark. Junior hurdler Rene Pretorious also qualified for the finals by placing second in her heat in a time of 13.91.

Other Huskers competing on Friday included senior Marijana Buljovcic, who finished 12th in the high jump (5-7) and freshman Krisztina Kovesi, who took 13th in the triple jump (39-06
