Two Huskers notched NCAA provisional-qualifying marks at the Iowa State Open on Saturday, while sophomore pole vaulter Eric Eshbach notched a provisional mark of 17-10 1/2 with a second-place finish in the collegiate division at the Pole Vault Summit.
At the oversized track at the Lied Recreation Center at Iowa State, Husker sophomore David Davis finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional-qualifying and personal-best time of 7.87. Iowa State's Andy Long placed first in 7.87 - less than one-hundredth of a second faster than Davis, the 2000 Mid-Continent conference champion in the event. Davis is a transfer from Missouri-Kansas City.
On the women's side, the Huskers were led by sophomore Leann Boerema, who finished third in the shot put with an NCAA provisional-qualifying mark of 51-11
