Several Huskers Fare Well at Tiger Invite
Nebraska also had several runners compete at the Tiger Invitational in Hays, Kan., on Saturday. Sophomore Paul Wilson ran his fastest 8,000-meters of the season to lead the Husker men to a third-place finish (106 points). Wilson finished third in 26:12.28. Freshman Scott Wandzilak also turned in his best time of the season, finishing 19th in 27:09.01, while teammate Joe Shreve broke 28 minutes for the first time this season to finish 23rd in 27:23.96. In addition, Tim Williams, a native of Laramie, Wyo., finished 33rd in 27:49.73, while sophomore Marc Clinard finished the course in 27:56.20 to take 39th. Sophomore Hunter Kosman also competed, finishing 66th in 28:45.07.
In addition, Nebraska had two women compete, led by sophomore Morgan Hartman, who earned her second top-10 finish, taking 10th in a personal-best time of 19:58.46. Junior Melissa Drozda finished the 5,000-meter course in 20:25.41 to take 22nd.
