Outside hitters Laura Pilakowski and Jennifer Saleaumua combined for 25 kills and 18 digs to lead the fifth-ranked Nebraska volleyball team to a 30-19, 30-19, 30-24 win over Iowa State Saturday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum. With the win, Nebraska improved to 15-1 overall and 6-0 in the Big 12 Conference.
Pilakowski produced her fifth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 11 digs to lead three NU players with at least 10 kills. Saleaumua tallied 12 kills to go along with two service aces, and senior middle blocker Amber Holmquist posted 10 kills and a match-high six blocks.
Senior setter Greichaly Cepero recorded 45 assists, 14 digs, five kills and four blocks, but the Huskers hit just .263, 49 points below their season average.
