Columbus, Ga. -- The No. 9 Nebraska softball team picked up its second victory of the weekend over a top five team when it handed No. 2 Stanford its first loss of the season with a 2-0 win over the Cardinal Saturday night in game one of the Gold Championship Bracket at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga.

The Huskers were led by sophomore pitcher Peaches James (5-3) and junior centerfielder Kim Ogee. James tossed her second consectutive one-hit shutout against a top five team, as the sophomore righthander was also the winning pitcher in the Huskers
