Junior right-handed pitcher Peaches James tossed a three-hit shutout to lead No. 4 Nebraska to a 2-0 win over No. 10 Cal-State Fullerton Sunday in the final day of action at the Arizona State Fiesta Bowl Classic. James (3-0) struck out six Titans and yielded just two walks in her third complete game start of 2003.
With the victory, the Huskers improved to 5-0 on the season, while Cal State Fullerton fell to 6-2. NU also defeated No. 15 Fresno State, Missisippi State, No. 25 Massachusetts and Southwest Texas State at the tournament.
