Huskers Win 3-2 Battle with San Jose State; Lizama Named Big 12 Player of the Week

San Jose, Calif. --- The No. 24 Nebraska softball team improved their winning streak to a season-high four games Wednesday with a 3-2 win over San Jose State at SJSU Field. The Huskers improved to 11-6 with the win.
San Jose State picked up its first run in the game in the bottom of the first. Nicole Phillips started things off with a double to center field. After getting moved to third on a sacrifice, an error by NU shortstop Leigh Suhr scored Phillips from third. The game remained 0-1 until the third when Nebraska recorded its first hit of the game. With two out and a runner on second, Ginger Taylor slapped an infield single to put runners on the corners. The Huskers then executed a double steal with Lizama scoring NU
