Huskers Sweep Cyclones

By NU Athletic Communications
Lincoln -- The No. 12 Nebraska volleyball team continued its history of dominance over Iowa State with a 15-2, 15-4, 15-5 victory over the Cyclones before a sold-out crowd of 3,944 fans at the NU Coliseum Saturday night.

Nebraska, which set a school record by allowing just two points in a match during its 3-0 win over Iowa in Ames, Iowa, Oct. 6, has swept 11 straight meetings against ISU (2-21 overall and 0-16 in the Big 12 Conference). The Huskers are a perfect 56-0 against Iowa State in a series that dates back to Nov. 9, 1975.

Sophomore middle blocker Jenny Kropp led Nebraska with 11kills and a .600 hitting percentage. It was the first time Kropp has recorded a match-high in kills. It was also only the fourth time this season that junior right side hitter Nancy Meendering has not led the Huskers in kills. Stacy Nicks led Iowa State with seven kills.

With the win, the Huskers (21-5, 13-3) remain in the driver
