Sunnyvale, Calif. --- Led by a seven RBI performance from junior transfer Ellen Middleton, the No. 20 Nebraska softball team picked up a pair of victories Saturday to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket of the National Invitational Softball Tournament on Sunday morning. The Huskers, who struggled at the plate on Friday, collected a combined 20 hits in wins against Wisconsin-Green Bay and Creighton. Nebraska posted 12 hits in a 10-2 six-inning, run-rule game against Wisconsin-Green Bay. The Huskers had eight hits in seven innings in a 4-1 consolation semifinal win against Creighton.

Nebraska scored runs in all but one inning against Wisconsin-Green Bay, including the first when Jennifer Lizama led off the bottom half by drawing a walk. Ginger Taylor hit into a fielder
