The Huskers, ranked 10th nationally in the air rifle and 11th in the smallbore, will see two of the top teams in the nation, as UAF is ranked first in both events while UTEP is ranked 12th in both events.

The Huskers split a pair of matches against both the Nanooks and the Miners last season. UAF, the defending national champions, downed the Huskers in El Paso 6,215-6,130, but Nebraska rebounded to beat UTEP the following day, 6,166-6,103. In the all-time series, UAF has dominated the Huskers, winning all six contests between the two schools, but Nebraska has fared much better against UTEP, holding a 3-0 edge.

The Huskers will see UTEP later this season as the Miners travel to Lincoln on March 1 in the final match of the regular season.
