Husker Wrestlers Finish 2nd at Reno Challenge

Reno, Nev.--The eighth-ranked Nebraska wrestling team finished second at the Reno Challenge at the Reno Livestock Events Center, Sunday, Dec. 19. Taking the top spot was third-ranked Oklahoma State with a team score of 232, while the Huskers posted a score of 155 and No. 17 Arizona State rounded out the top three of the 12-team tournament with a 118 point total.
In one of the marquee matches of the day, No. 2 Bryan Snyder of Nebraska won in a 1-1 tie-breaker over No. 4 Larry Quisel of Boise State to take the 157-pound title. Snyder earned the win by not allowing Quisel to escape in a 30 second tie-breaker. With the victory, Snyder avenged his loss to Quisel in the consolation finals of last year
